Get Involved in Four Steps
1. become 1 in a million
Please sign our petition to help protect our children from cancer. Then please find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to share our petition until we reach 1,000,000 signatures.
2. send a comment to the dtsc by december 7, 2017
The California Department of Toxic Substances' draft Environmental Impact Report breaks years of promises and legal commitments to residents. They now propose to leave vast amounts of plutonium, strontium-90, cesium-137, perchlorate, PCBs, volatile organic compounds, dioxins, and heavy metals, where they could continue to migrate offsite and place neighboring communities at risk.
3. give residents freedom of speech back
People shouldn't have to choose between paying their medical bills and their freedom of speech. The cancer victims surrounding the Santa Susana Field Lab, primarily owned by Boeing, have had to do just that. Instead of exercising their freedom of speech, local residents must stay silent about the site that may have caused their cancer as a condition of their settlement.
4. contact your elected OFFICIALS
tell your california REPRESENTATIVES that the Santa susana field lab should be cleaned safely and completely
It only takes a few clicks to contact your State Senator, State Assemblyperson or United States Congressional Representative, but the impact is profound. Your elected officials need to know that their constituents are concerned about the Santa Susana Field Lab. You don't need to know all the answers, but reaching out to share your concern could change the tide in our fight for a safe enviornment for our children.
